Our client a international engineering consultancy is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor (PQS) will provide cost management, contract administration, and commercial support for major rail and transit infrastructure projects across Canada. The ideal candidate holds the PQS designation with CIQS (or is eligible) and has proven experience in rail systems, civil works, stations, trackwork, and related infrastructure.
The role requires strong knowledge of cost planning, procurement, contract conditions, schedule integration, and risk management within large public-sector and P3/Design-Build environments.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• PQS designation (CIQS), or eligibility with commitment to obtain.

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of QS experience, ideally in rail, transit, LRT, metro, or heavy civil infrastructure.

• Strong knowledge of cost planning, unit-rate development, and lifecycle costing.

• Experience with Canadian contract forms (CCDC), procurement processes, and public-sector infrastructure delivery.
