Geotechnical Resident Engineer

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor all geotechnical aspects of dam construction on site
• Oversee construction of rockfill dams, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards
• Review and approve contractor methodologies, materials, and workmanship
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Provide technical guidance and resolve geotechnical issues during construction
• Prepare and review technical reports, site records, and progress documentation
• Support project delivery within schedule and budget constraints

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum 20 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering
• Must have at least 15 years’ experience working on rockfill dam projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
• Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field (mandatory)
• Proven experience in a Resident Engineer or similar senior site-based role
• Strong knowledge of dam engineering standards and construction practices
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to be based on-site in Asia
