Chief Expert – RAMS (Rail Systems) – High-Speed Rail Project

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of RAMS strategies across the high-speed rail project lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with international rail safety and RAMS standards
• Oversee system assurance processes, including hazard analysis, risk assessments, and safety case development
• Coordinate RAMS activities across multidisciplinary teams, including design, engineering, and operations
• Provide expert guidance on reliability and safety performance for systems operating at speeds of 250 km/h or higher
• Review and approve RAMS deliverables, documentation, and technical reports
• Interface with stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory authorities on RAMS-related matters
• Support testing, commissioning, and operational readiness from a RAMS perspective

Key Requirements

• Minimum 20 years of professional experience in rail or infrastructure projects
• At least 10 years of experience specifically in metro or high-speed rail systems
• Proven experience working on projects involving train speeds of 250 km/h or above
• Demonstrated international project experience outside of India
• Strong expertise in RAMS principles, methodologies, and applicable international standards (e.g., EN 50126 / 50128 / 50129)
• Experience leading RAMS activities on large-scale, complex infrastructure projects
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
